I hate to say it but I’ve found so many new activities that have brought me so much love and joy during this quarantine period. Our family has never spent more time together. Ever! Last week it was rolling in the grass with a 150 pound mastiff and this week it’s s’mores galore. We had never really taken the time or effort to create our own s’mores space at our home. But now it’s turned into a fun Friday night activity. We love the warm fire and talking as a family it’s amazing down-time that everyone enjoys.
We spend all of our summers at my brother and sister-in-laws farm so since our kids were little we have a s’mores extravaganza every year for the last 17 years. Can that be? Ugh. Time sure does fly. My SIL does it right, there is NOTHING missing from the prep table. All sorts of melted combinations of yummyness. I might add the prep table is a plastic table I acquired after the floods in North Dakota from over 20 years ago! Reduce, reuse, recycle!
- I love the comfort of adirondack chairs around a fire pit. Target has these that are a step up from the plastic adirondack chairs (no judgement on the plastic because they are pretty comfortable too)
- Cozy pillows and blankets are a must

- Graham Crackers including Gluten Free Graham Crackers
- Ritz crackers
- Marshmallows
- Strawberry Marshmallows
- Hersheys bars
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Thin Mint Girlscout cookies. Because my niece is a Girl Scout and there is an abundance so why not, right!
- Fresh Strawberries and bananas
- Chocolate chip cookies – I didn’t say any of this was going to be healthy.
