Friday Five Favorite Cleansers

We have five favorite cleansers that we keep going back to time after time and here’s why.

1. Drunk Elephant Purifying Pore Detox Cleanser

Each time one of us tried to get away with trying something “cheaper,” it never fails. We both have fairly sensitive skin and break out at the drop of a dime. We both tried an Aveeno product a few months ago and gave it a good month plus test….it failed. Since we both were so broke out, we went back to our Jelly cleaner and our skin cleared up right away. We are in love with this cleanser, but not in love with the price. However, sometimes you can’t put a price on nice skin. Read our full post about this product here.

2. Tata Harper Purifying Pore Detox Cleanser

This cleanser is so luxurious. I rub until it emulsifies slightly then apply it to my dry skin. During the first application it feels like a gel but then turns into an oil as you gently rub into your skin for about two minutes. The scent is so fresh and clean of citrus and lemongrass. At first it was a little hippy dippy for me but then I really ended up liking the scent. I noticed an improvement in my oily skin after a few weeks. I also noticed an improvement in hormonal acne. My only complaint is the price. But luxury isn’t cheap.

3. Botanic Tree Glycolic Acid Face Wash Exfoliating Cleanser

This was a true Amazon find. It was during one of my frantic searches for a good cleanser when I was having a bad skin day. I came across this product that has literally a five star rating out of 3200+ reviews. It’s great for aging, as well as acne prone skin. I put it on my skin and let it sit a bit and then wash it off. It works like a charm. I usually use this every third day in rotation with my Jelly cleanser. It might dry your skin out too much if you used it every single day.

4. Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash

I found this cleanser out by accident. I bought it for my daughter who was a teenager at the time and was having some skin issues. She’s red hair, pale skin, so some things are irritating for her. We went through several brands…when I say several, I mean we’ve about tried it all. I finally brought home a winner. I actually love this cleanser as well. Her boyfriend also just tried it and he also likes it! It’s a winner for men and women. It works well for dry, oily skin (combination). I love that it’s:

  • Sulfate free
  • Oil free face wash
  • Fragrance free
  • Non comedogenic
  • Allergy tested skin cleanser
  • Paraben free
  • Dermatologist Tested
  • Tested on Sensitive Skin

5. Tata Harper Regenerating Exfoliating Cleanser

If I could buy this as my main cleanser and use it every day, this would be it. We both agree. The only reason it’s not in my every day routine is it is expensive. I love the plant based ingredients. It feels great on my skin (it has little granules in it), and my skin always looks great after I use it. Whenever there is a sale, we both buy it. I hoard it and I’m not even joking. If I want a little luxury for my skin, I pull this out. There’s a reason Tata Harper is on our list twice for five favorite cleansers.
