Olay and Dove are two brands I’ve used since birth. Okay, maybe not that long but a long time. Sometimes I used them because my mom used them. It wasn’t really a choice but over the years, I’ve found these are still pretty good. In fact, in addition to detoxifying our pores we also use Olay to help with those puffy eyes.
Detoxifying Pore Scrub
First off, I loved the smell of the Olay Regenerist pore detoxifying scrub. The gel formula polishes away dead and dull skin. I felt that it delivers on improving tone and texture of your skin. However, I wouldn’t say it was the best products for minimizing pores. I noticed a slight difference and basically what you’d expect from a drugstore brand. Definitely not an increased improvement with further use, either.

- Vitamin B5
- Green tea
- Vitamin C
Pore Detox
Pore Detox with charcoal is a great way to detox your congested pores. I’ve personally only found two charcoal products that haven’t made me break out and this is one of them.
It’s a micro-exfoliator that gently scrubs away skin clogging impurities. Which in turn helps other moisturizing products penetrate your skin.
Key Ingredients
- Kaolin clay- helps control oily skin
- Black charcoal – helps draw bacteria and particles out of the skin
- Charcoal powder
What’s different about this charcoal mask is that you don’t have to get your hands dirty. You know how messy the application process can be especially anything with charcoal. It was a quick, easy process and it left my skin feeling super soft. I’m not sure if this one is something I’ll buy again as I didn’t see a dramatic difference in skin tone and texture.
