Non-Toxic Nail Polish Remover

If you looking to clean up your act, using a non-toxic nail polish remover is one way to start. Living in a cold climate dries out everything, including your nails. Adding acetone, alcohol, or other toxic ingredients, only makes things worse.

My nails have always been short, dry, and damaged. I was looking for ways to nourish them. First things first. You have to work on your internal self. I started drinking collagen daily. This alone has helped immensely. Here’s our favorite. Next, every time I took my nail polish off, my nails would be extra dry and a white coating left behind. I started researching alternative ways to avoid those nasty ingredients that were making matters worse.

I decided to take a chance on Karma Naturals Nail Polish Remover with Soybean Oil and Lavender. It has great reviews and of course, no acetone.

Product Testing

Now let’s put the product to the test. I had red nails that were calling out a S.O.S., so added my new polish remover to a cotton pad and started rubbing off my first nail. I have to say I didn’t have the WOW factor … at first. It was more difficult to remove the polish than my current toxic remover. Why can’t it be easy? But, I kept going and removed all my nail polish.

After I was done, I have to say my nails were moisturized and felt good. I also got used to how the product worked, so now I know it takes a little bit (and I mean just a little bit) of extra rubbing to get off all my nail polish. It’s totally worth it. My nails feel better and most of all, they look better. They are stronger, more moisturized, and of course longer. I haven’t used any other nail polish remover since I found this non-toxic formula.

Editors Notes

Don’t be fooled by the name. I can’t say with certainty if this specific product is “organic.” If that is the only reason you are purchasing this, you might be disappointed. It also does not contain lavender, at least that I can see. I think they must use this in the name because they package it in a lavender colored bottle? Finally, this isn’t going to remove glitter polish or gel. You are going to need to bring out the big guns for that.

I love non-toxic of products we’ve had in our beauty cabinets for years and years- this nail polish sounds like a viable alternative to the original and the bottle is so much prettier, I must say. 🙂
