Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Mix = Pure Brownie Perfection

Your parents called and are stopping by for supper. You’re on your way home from work racking your brain on what you can make. Roast in the crock pot? Check. But wait, what about dessert?  A gourmet cook friend of mine gave me this secret years ago…Ghirardelli Double Chocolate brownie mix.

If you’re looking to impress your family and friends with a quick and easy dessert, I always use Ghirardelli Double Chocolate premium brownie mix. It saves time. It saves money. And it’s darn good. The chocolate chips give it an “authentic’ brownie texture and the chocolate taste is what you would expect from a premium brand such as Ghirardelli. Whenever we travel, it’s a must stop at Ghirardelli if we see one.

Save Time and Money:

If you’re looking to impress your family and friends with a quick and easy dessert, I always use Ghirardelli Double Chocolate premium brownie mix. It saves time. It saves money. And it’s darn good. Directions:

The mix is super easy to make and calls for less oil than other brownie mixes. That’s always a plus. You just need ¼ cup of water, ⅓ cup of vegetable oil, and one egg.  Mix together, along with the brownie mix and spread in a prepared pan. If you want to use a larger pan, just use two mixes. The toothpick test doesn’t necessarily work for these brownies because they are so fudgy. But what I found is if you cook it according to the box, it comes out perfect every time. Pure Brownie Perfection! Remember, they bake a little more after you take them out of the oven.

While my brownies are baking, I drizzle chocolate in martini glasses and throw them in the freezer. This way the chocolate has some time to set. After my brownies are cooled, I cut them up and put them in the martini glasses. This is a fancy way to serve this affordable dessert. I place two scoops (or however many you like) on top of the brownies.  Drizzle everything with a little more chocolate. I also like to put a Ghirardelli chocolate on the side or grate some of it on top of the ice cream. Presto! You are done.

Variations:

  • Caramel: Whipped cream with caramel drizzle
  • Banana Split: Add banana, whipped cream and some nuts
  • Strawberries and Cream: Just like it sounds…cut up strawberries, add some cream and grate some fresh chocolate on top
  • Brownie Martini Recipe: Oh wait, that’s not for this post 😝

These brownies are rich, moist and fudgy! They are a class act. And did I mention, cheap!? I know how to make homemade brownies and have done so many times, but I always come back to this mix. You can purchase it on the link below or check at your local Target. Buy two, because you will want to keep one on hand at all times. The brownies will stay good for three days or you can freeze up to three months (who has leftover brownies?)!

On a side note. I eat dairy free. This brownie mix has always been made without milk until recently!  SOBS!!!! Even though I can’t eat it anymore, I still always have it on hand for a quick fix for my kids or for any friends and family that are stopping by.
