The seasons are changing and it’s time to get your fall mantle ready. Changing up our mantle is a great way to get into whatever season is approaching. It really can set the whole tone of your living space, since usually this is the focal point of the room. Gold is back in a big way and I’m really excited about that since my fireplace has a gold edging. I almost tore it out a couple years ago, now I’m so glad I didn’t! It’s funny how that works.
Fall is my second favorite season of the year. I’m a summer girl, but it wears me out. We are constantly running trying to squeeze every little bit out of summer we can. It’s fun, but tiring. Which means as much as I love summer, I am always ready for the change of pace to fall. Fall is the time for everything to rest like me 🙂 I love the thought of a hayride, pumpkin everything, and hot chocolate or tea. It brings me joy to cook soups and cuddle up with a blanket. A burning candle even feels “different” in the fall. It truly feels peaceful and restful. A time to be still and take it all in. Nature walks are the prettiest in the fall as well. It just amazes me how nature’s beauty changes each season.
