When it comes to body aides, they are a dime a dozen. We’ve tried many different products claiming to help with back pain or headaches. Here are our top five body aides that actually work.
Posture Corrector
When you’re an aging lady like I am, you have to constantly be thinking about your posture. I was taught at a young age to sit at the end of my chair with a straight back, so I’m pretty in tune with my posture. I find myself slouching more and more and I DO NOT like that. Sherry and I both decided to try this posture corrector. The price was inexpensive, so it was worth a shot. While I can’t say it actually physically corrects your posture (at least I didn’t get that), it does make you very aware of not slouching. It’s a great way to retrain your mind and body to straighten up. I would put it on when I went for a walk or if I was working at my desk. You may be sore for a day or two when you first start using it, but that’s because it’s working. Give it some time and your body will remember what to do on it’s own.
Blue Light Glasses
Sherry and I spend almost all day on our computer and phone. I had heard about these blue light glasses and thought what the heck. I actually bought a pair for my husband and kids too because they look at their phones so much at night. Does it actually help? The jury is still out. I never had headaches to begin with, so I can’t answer that one. It could be placebo, but they “claim” it really helps. If you are a person that gets headaches however, this is definitely worth a try!
Body Massager
My husband and I both have a ton of knots from head to two. We have tried every hand held massager known to man. Ok, not that many, but a lot! My lake neighbor actually told me about this massager and so we decided to give it a try. It was a clear winner. We actually have one double this price and this is the one we always both use. It feels so good. You can wear it around your shoulders to massage your neck and back or you can lay it on the floor to do your legs and feet. It also comes with a bag so you can take it with you. This is one of our favorite body aides.
Back Stretcher
There might be a theme here…back issues! If you are like us, the back is the one area that needs a little extra attention at night. You lay on this back stretcher for some relief. My son likes it too! They say it’s as affective as a doing a deep yoga pose. It also helps with sciatica. Start slow. It hurts a little until you get used to it, but provides relief in the end. No pain, no gain!
Ice Roller
I use this because of puffy eyes. However, if you have a lot of headaches, I would think this would feel very good! It feels so good on the face. Pop it in the fridge so it’s nice and cold. This ice roller can also help minimize wrinkles and is great for lymphatic drainage.
These body aides will help if you give them some time. Don’t expect a miracle on day 1. After you’ve used them a couple days, especially the body massager, you won’t know what you did without it.
