5 At Home Yoga Practices on YouTube

We’re all collectively experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety lately. Even after a few weeks of our mandatory stay at home quarantine, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. It’s hard to stay grounded with all the uncertainty still looming.  Yoga has always been a stress reliever for me and I definitely  do best with a guided practice. Although, my normal yoga studio isn’t an option right now, I’m thankful we have Youtube and it doesn’t cost a thing. There are a plethora of yoga classes you can watch. I think it’s especially important to do the exercises that can help you stay grounded.

One of the questions we’ve been receiving most lately, is what work out routines are you using right now. Here are five that I’ve tried so far.

Yin Flow

Yin flow is a gentle paced yoga practice that I prefer to use in order to gain mental clarity.

Hatha Flow

Hatha flow is not as intense as Vinyasa but it’s still a challenging practice. The movements are a bit slower.

Vinyasa Flow

Get a good mind and body work out with Vinyasa flow. A little more vigorous and fast paced than the other styles. Combining breath and movement.

Ashtanga Flow

This is a good choice for the seasoned yogi in my opinion.

10 Minute Yoga in Bed

Normally I wouldn’t think your bed is the best option for yoga but I used this one right away in the morning after meditation and prayer. It was a refreshing way to start the day.

On days you aren’t practicing yoga, check out these at home workouts for your whole body. It’s all about balance, baby.

Hi, Sherry – I just want to thank you for reviewing and sharing these yoga practices from YouTube. I have been doing some of Cindy Bartz’s exercises and Kassandra’s yoga on YouTube. I have some of my own routines in notes and books and magazines (I’ve been dabbling in yoga since I was 18) but it’s easier to flow with a teacher. It’s nice to have some new leads recommended. Thanks again, Angie – http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Yoga is nice to do, for sure. And a variety of styles is nice too. I like the way that it brings us back to ourselves.

  4. We have started doing a 30 day yoga challenge with Kassandra on Youtube and it is so great for the whole family to kick off the day! I need to start adding a longer yoga session to my evenings though to do by myself without trying to keep the children on task! Thanks for sharing these videos. I am definitely going to check them out.

I really need to get everyone on board with a yoga practice in the morning. Such a great idea Shelbee! My kids are getting next to NO exercise in the last month. Have a great weekend! xo
