Not gonna lie, I swore off country music a long time ago in my teens after a sad break-up. Because that kind of music can really bring a girl down. But what I rediscovered in my 40’s is that it can also lift you up. So I gave country music another try. Let us not forget about the greats like Willie Nelson. This shirt spoke to me for a few reasons. First off, my grandmother (yes grandmother) took me to my first concert and it just happened to be Willie Nelson. I thought he was totally weird at the time but I got a cute pink cowgirl hat out of the deal. Looking back it was a super fun memory. Second, I’m in a pretty happy place these days and I am, in fact, “Feelin’ Willie Good“.

I mean really, this song is older than me for sure. Has to be. But I love it because my son used to sing “Country Roads Take Me Home” as we’d head home for the summer. Nope, not from West Virginia. He of course would change the words. Country life can’t be beat.
Thought I should include some newer country songs. Smooth As Tennessee Whiskey. Whiskey, gross. But it’s not a bad song. 😉
