It’s all very real this working from home thing. We received our Stay at Home, Work From Home orders here. Luckily for my blog partner and I, we’ve been doing this for awhile now. That aspect hasn’t changed for us; what has changed is the fact our kids are now home with us as well. Which makes things challenging for many people trying to navigate this new normal for the time being. What I’ve found helpful is keeping my work space as simple as possible and sticking to a schedule. It’s amazing how clutter can mess with our heads. I make an effort after each work day to organize the desk so I’m not faced with a mess in the morning.
- Calming abstract wall art
- A simple writing desk might be just the thing you need
- When you have a smaller desk, a lamp might not be the best choice. Try a floor lamp instead to save that much needed work space.
- Warm up the room with a neutral rug.
- A chair with some color to pull from the wall art. Office chair options below for more comfort in mind.
- Let’s not forget a plant to dress up the space.
Always remember to stretch often and take a break by walking around. If you don’t have co-workers around to remind you to take a break, it’s all on you to make sure you’re getting your body moving so that you can maximize your productivity.

This is a great summer blues (in a good way) look for your summer porch or outdoor patio! Granted the items are a splurge but they are built to last.

I like the mustard and gray wall art in picure with chair. Do you know where that is available?
Hi Deb! Unfortunately, I am not sure where that particular art piece is from. I searched the Wayfair site and found something similar in the colors but not that particular art.I agree! I love it too.
Golden Dust Art
These are great suggestions, I really like the desk! I’ve been working from home for a while now and I have to admit that I still struggle with remembering to get up and move around more throughout the day x

Thanks for stopping by Sophie! I agree, it’s so hard to tell yourself to stop and move around. Hope you have a great week!
