Beach Days Are Here Again

Hope you’re all having a wonderful Saturday morning! Sitting on the beach drinking my coffee while watching the sunrise is by far one of the most soothing ways to start your day. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until we were finally able to go again after this long lock down.  It certainly made me appreciate the beauty all the more. There were many people enjoying the sunrise but luckily it’s a pretty good stretch of beach so keeping a distance wasn’t a problem.

This week I snagged a floral, flutter top with ruffle bottom dress from Target while standing in that long wrap around social distancing line. It was just there calling my name. I haven’t spent any time shopping for clothing in an actual store….pretty sure I’m not alone…..not essential and all. So I was glad that this little whim worked out because just last summer Brandi and I had a good laugh over a flutter sleeve top gone wrong. I couldn’t even compose myself enough to say she looked like Holly Hobby. It still makes me laugh. I’m thankful this wasn’t a repeat. It’s light and comfortable and I’m loving the pattern AND the flutter sleeve. 

The round rattan tote became a thing last summer but it’s still carrying over to this summer as well. I love mine and use it so much with outfits like this. This bag is no longer available but this one at Amazon is very similar and has a detachable pompoms.
