Cheddar Biscuits [Red Lobster Copycat]

Whether you’re a fan of seafood or not, everyone has heard about Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I’ve made these every Christmas for the last couple of years but I recently misplaced my go-to recipe and found this one at Seeded at the Table. There are several Copycats out there but I find this is the closest.

These biscuits are just how I like them, so simple to make with minimal ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge and pantry! This is all you will need!

Preheat oven 375 degrees.

Combine the Bisquick and garlic powder first. Then when the dry ingredients are combined add the sharp cheddar cheese to the bowl. Stir in milk (I use whole milk) until just combined, plus, I add just a splash more , it will be lumpy and seems like it doesn’t stick well but the cheese does hold it together once baked.

Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Melt butter and add garlic with the parsley. Then pull the biscuits out and brush the mixture onto each of the biscuits. Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until slightly golden brown.

Add one more brush of the delicious butter mixture over the biscuits one last time.

There are so many versions of these biscuits but this recipe by Seeded at the Table is the closest I’ve made. I liked the fact she doesn’t use additional butter in the biscuits as well. I mean, it’s not like it’s healthy either way but I think topped with the butter mixture tastes amazing and doesn’t need much more.

YES! Bacon or sausage is a GREAT idea! I think we’ll try that too.
