Over the last two months I’ve given these three a fair chance to perform. Two out of three ain’t bad!
Because I live in Hawaii, I’ve had no interest in adding serums, moisturizers, or creams of any sort to my skin. And if I’m being totally honest, it took me a long time to get on board with adding regular sunscreen to my skincare regimen. I was convinced the SPF in my foundation was good enough. It’s not.
- Derma-E Vitamin C Serum – The hyaluronic acid is what initially drew me in but it felt extremely tacky and heavy to me. Then I did further research and found out hyaluronic acid may not be all its cracked up to be. The molecules are actually too big to penetrate the skins surface. What does that mean? You’re pretty much washing it down the drain. What I found better than this serum was C-Firma day serum by Drunk Elephant. They use an ingredient called sodium hyaluronate which is a salt of hyaluronic acid. A smaller molecule that can more easily penetrate the skin. It keeps the skin full and hydrated. The price point of $80 isn’t as appealing.
- Goldbond Ultimate neck and chest – Aging comes with all kinds of fun new issues. A wrinkled neck was mine this year. I didn’t see it coming, I knew I had to find something fast. After trying this, I saw a significant improvement in the lines and wrinkles on my neck.
- It Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Lotion – Did I mention I hate moisturizers? But I understand the importance so I’m always searching for the one that won’t feel heavy. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. This lightweight gel improves the signs of wrinkles and smooths skin.
