If there is one common vacation wardrobe question, it’s what should I bring for comfortable travel shoes. Since everyone’s foot structure is a little different and styles vary, this can be a tricky question to answer. For me, comfort and style are both important. I am not going to buy a comfortable shoe unless it’s cute too. When I am on vacation, and even when I’m not, I love to walk and I walk far. Last month in Florida, we walked a minimum of 10 miles per day, so I know what shoes work for me.
When I was in Europe, I wore my Vionic flip flops most every day. My feet were never sore. I have high arches, so they gave me the support I needed. Oddly, my Sam Edelman flip flops don’t have ANY arch support, but they are really comfortable and I can usually walk distances in them. You’ve also heard me time and time again comment on the comfort of my Grand Pro Cole Haan shoes. An all time fav for me. Other really popular brands for travel shoes, include Teva, Chaco, and Olukai. I know Keen’s are really popular, but I can’t get over the overall “look.” They look really good on a lot of people, but not on me. Maybe I’ll change my mind.
Wherever your travels take you, make sure you pack comfortable shoes! Take it from me. I used to wear high heels everywhere…zoo included.

This is a great summer blues (in a good way) look for your summer porch or outdoor patio! Granted the items are a splurge but they are built to last.

I am off to Japan later this year and will need shoes that are both comfortable enough to walk in all day, while also being easy to take off (cultural reasons). You have given me a fair few suggestions! Thank you!
